Siblings Dr. Kevin Kaviani and Dr. Afshan Kaviani have built a trusted reputation across Houston by blending clinical excellence with a genuine concern for patient well-being. Together, they bring decades of hands-on experience and shared values to every treatment they provide.
Dr. Kevin Kaviani – “Dr. K”
Raised in Alvin, Texas, Dr. Kevin Kaviani combines a background in engineering with a passion for health care. He completed his undergraduate studies in engineering and computer science at the University of Houston before earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Texas Dental Branch at the Houston Health Science Center in 1994.
After gaining valuable experience in group practice settings, Dr. Kaviani took over a well-established private practice in 1996—one that had already served the Houston community since 1970. Under his leadership, the practice has flourished and grown into what is now known as Kaviani Modern Dentistry.
Professional Journey
Dr. Kaviani’s approach to care is driven by continual learning. He is an active member of SPEAR Education and has received advanced training in Digital Smile Design, TMJ therapy, implant dentistry, full mouth reconstruction, and airway-focused treatment. He is also certified in both Lumineers and Invisalign. Over the years, he has been involved in numerous study clubs and is particularly active in one focused on airway health.
Outside the office, Dr. Kaviani enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. His hobbies include classic car collecting, digital photography, fishing, hunting, boating, and attending sporting events. He is deeply rooted in his faith and credits his accomplishments to his spiritual foundation.

Dr. Afshan Kaviani – “Dr. A”
Dr. Afshan Kaviani is known for her calm demeanor, detail-oriented technique, and genuine warmth with patients of all ages. A graduate of the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston, she began her career in a large group practice, where she refined her skills in both general and cosmetic dentistry. In 2000, she joined her brother at Kaviani Modern Dentistry, helping to expand the practice’s reach and range of services.
Dr. Kaviani is passionate about making dentistry comfortable and accessible for families. Her ability to connect with patients—children and adults alike—makes her a valued and trusted provider in the Memorial and West Houston communities.
Professional Journey
She maintains an active role in continuing education, keeping pace with the latest innovations in preventive, restorative, and aesthetic dentistry. She is also certified in Lumineers and regularly participates in professional development through local and regional study clubs.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. Afshan is a dedicated mother to twin boys and a daughter. She enjoys reading, working out, playing tennis, and practicing martial arts.
